Craptacular Start

So you read this right. I have the earnings slope of a Kamakazi fighter pilot. Perhaps the most frustrating thing about playing poker is this type of performance. Almost 1500 hands and yes, over -3 buy ins. I wish I could say that this was all some sort of bad Karma or luck, but being stupid is not the same as unlucky. Not even close. One great thing about having a fast as shit computer, is that I can find my really bad hands so easily. So without further adoo. How to lose nearly 4 buy ins in big not even close hands.

So here I am, riding high with > 200 BB and feeling good.

This pot vcost me $33 dollars and they just don't seem to happen the other way.

New Computer

So one of the things I always felt was holding me back was the fact I had such a crappy computer, I mean it was crappy. It did freeze as well as struggle mightily when I played multiple tables as well as had other programs running. Granted I cannot blame bad play on my computer, I certainly can blame making it extra painful to get any analysis done. So I have done away with that problem in a big way. Yesterday I received my new computer in the mail. It is a Dell 435T with an i7920 processor, 8 Gig of Ram 1066, and a 1TB Hard Drive. This rig is so far beyond what I used to use it is embarrasing. Right now, it blows my mind as to the difference. However, that said, I am still a crappy player so I will likely soon be a crappy player with a cool computer.

Purpose

So I have a purpose for this blog. As a place to monitor my attempts at improving as a poker player while maintaining a job, raising kids, etc. Additionally, I am hoping to introduce others to the wonderful world of poker. My first step will start in my next update.
